I love it! Just have one question though, know any good tutorial on how to make damaged planets? A response would be greatly appreciated... =)

I'm sorry mate, I dont know of any tutorials like that... basically all I did here was use the lasso tool and cut out a slice of the planet, then added some debris around it... I didnt really have a technique, it was mainly just luck :| I would suggest finding some rock stock and applying it to the planets edge, after you've cut a piece out... its hard to explain... just mess around with it, and if I discover anymore helpful suggestions I will ofcourse let you know!

And Im glad you like it! :)

Awesome! I´m working on gas giants on my own, but i´m having troubles when spherizing it - they come to look somehow blown up and unrealistic. So I´d really like to hear how you did this piece of magic...

so long...

Thanks bro! Have you taken a look at Somni's tutorial? [link] Its basically how I do them, but before you do any spherizing, try adding some layered flames on it, I forget which blending mode works best... so try them all ;)

Very smooth 'n moody piece here. I like the gas giant and the crackling planet is also pretty purdy. Perhaps some more scattered parts from it or such but all is good.

Nice flow in the color, good gradiental falling in the colors
