I'm sorry mate, I dont know of any tutorials like that... basically all I did here was use the lasso tool and cut out a slice of the planet, then added some debris around it... I didnt really have a technique, it was mainly just luck I would suggest finding some rock stock and applying it to the planets edge, after you've cut a piece out... its hard to explain... just mess around with it, and if I discover anymore helpful suggestions I will ofcourse let you know!
Awesome! I´m working on gas giants on my own, but i´m having troubles when spherizing it - they come to look somehow blown up and unrealistic. So I´d really like to hear how you did this piece of magic...
Thanks bro! Have you taken a look at Somni's tutorial? [link] Its basically how I do them, but before you do any spherizing, try adding some layered flames on it, I forget which blending mode works best... so try them all
Wow. God knows how anyone could manage to do that in 3-4 hours! Spectacular!! Lol, i certantly couldn't finish, but i could tell u that ur gass and planet destruction techniques worked extremly well! Sorry for the random comments!! I just thought ur gallery was great and needed to tell the world how great it was!
